A credit that Sam holds most dearly is the fact that his three children all chose to follow in his footsteps and become part of the College Bound family tradition. Samuel P. Alfonsi Jr. M.Ed

Sam has studied at the University of Maryland and Temple University in the Schools of Business Management. Sam has also studied at West Chester University in Educational Counseling.

Sam brings an extensive background in the area of studying personality type and how different individuals maximize learning in different environments. Sam has adopted a philosophy taken from Realty Therapy which is used widely in Japan regarding the management of business systems. Sam had worked closely with his father for 5 years before recognizing what College Bound could bring to the Chester county area. Sam was also a collegiate athlete, so he also brings a motivational style to learning that helps students compete in the classroom and in taking the PSAT/SAT. For the past 25 years Sam has developed close relationships with students, families, counselors, coaches and teachers in the area. Sam has even worked with the children of his father's past students, making College Bound a “true family tradition,” and continuing the reputation of the “oldest provider of educational needs” in the nation!

Sam Jr. has worked with past students who are now in such organizations as the NFL, NBA, QVC, NYSE, several Fortune Five Hundred Companies, as well as other professionals who keep in touch with “the College Bound family.” This diverse network has helped current College Bound students attain top tier college and university placement.

Over the last 56 years College Bound has helped students receive millions of dollars in scholarship monies through performance on the Scholastic Assessment Test, The Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test, and as well as helping students attain grade point averages that meet guide lines for merit scholarship.

Sam only works with a select few before each national Scholastic Assessment Test date. Emphasis is on diagnosing need, developing a plan of action, and implementation of that plan in a very personalized approach. Being proactive in the process is paramount! College Bound does have a wait–list so it is best to act early!
